MARKET LIVE: Sensex jumps 450 pts; BSE SmallCap index hits record

LIVE market updates: The benchmark indices were trading near the day’s high in the afternoon session. The BSE Sensex index was at 59,293, up 528 points, while the NSE Nifty50 index was at 17,677 level, up 145 points. In the broader markets, the BSE MidCap and SmallCap indices were up over 1 per cent each. About 2,291 shares have advanced on the BSE, and 941 shares declined.
