Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Frankfurt, the gained 1.05%, while the index climbed 0.57%, and the index climbed 1.67%.

The best performers of the session on the were Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (DE:), which rose 4.63% or 1.575 points to trade at 35.625 at the close. Meanwhile, HelloFresh SE (DE:) added 3.64% or 2.88 points to end at 81.96 and Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (DE:) was up 3.56% or 0.380 points to 11.040 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Bayer AG NA (DE:), which fell 1.07% or 0.50 points to trade at 46.14 at the close. Heidelbergcement AG O.N. (DE:) declined 1.07% or 0.690 points to end at 63.530 and Covestro AG (DE:) was down 1.00% or 0.580 points to 57.340.

The top performers on the MDAX were Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (DE:) which rose 3.98% to 164.600, Jungheinrich AG O.N.VZO (DE:) which was up 3.91% to settle at 40.880 and Aixtron SE (DE:) which gained 3.37% to close at 21.165.

The worst performers were Rational AG (DE:) which was down 4.84% to 747.60 in late trade, AUTO1 Group SE (DE:) which lost 2.43% to settle at 29.32 and Deutsche Lufthansa AG (DE:) which was down 2.08% to 6.021 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Eckert & Ziegler AG O.N. (DE:) which rose 7.61% to 114.600, Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (DE:) which was up 4.63% to settle at 35.625 and Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (DE:) which gained 3.98% to close at 164.600.

The worst performers were S&T AG (DE:) which was down 2.77% to 21.06 in late trade, TeamViewer AG (DE:) which lost 1.12% to settle at 23.76 and 11 AG (DE:) which was down 0.59% to 27.040 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 464 to 243 and 67 ended unchanged.

Shares in AUTO1 Group SE (DE:) fell to all time lows; falling 2.43% or 0.73 to 29.32. Shares in TeamViewer AG (DE:) fell to 52-week lows; losing 1.12% or 0.27 to 23.76.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 11.61% to 22.08.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.48% or 8.45 to $1759.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.64% or 1.27 to hit $78.89 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.60% or 1.30 to trade at $82.56 a barrel.

EUR/USD was down 0.10% to 1.1609, while EUR/GBP fell 0.30% to 0.8510.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 93.882.
