Re: ‘Reality’ (Oct. 17, 2021)

I wish to thank the author for making my point even if they don’t realize they did so. They cited that the Proud Boys had radios to “direct movement.” A quick search shows nine members of the group were arrested for their involvement in the Jan. 6 riots. This makes my point that there was no coordination, as 85 to 90% of those rioting were not coordinating their actions. There is no way nine people could have directed thousands in such a chaotic environment.

As to this idea that President Trump was “lying” about election results, I’d ask the author to explain why we shouldn’t think there were possible wrongdoings when facts prove otherwise: (http://www.americaproject.com/ExecutiveSummary_VersionFinal_092421.pdf). Everyone cites the first paragraph of the final report of Maricopa County audit and conveniently ignores the rest.

Perhaps the author can explain why we shouldn’t be concerned about more than 57,000 ballots that shouldn’t have been counted in an election where the difference was 11,000 votes? Yes, Biden won the election, but how much of it was by cheating? We will never know so long as we refuse to examine what happened.

Trump hurt America

Every president has had handlers. Every modern president, including Trump, has used a teleprompter. When Trump went off script he sounded like a raving lunatic and still does when he speaks.

President Biden stayed off the campaign trail because he didn’t want to risk getting or spreading COVID-19. Trump traveled the country, holding large rallies that infected many and even killed some, like Herman Cain.

Trump never should’ve been president; the American people voted against him in 2016. He had no relevant experience for being POTUS and needed help from Russia to win the electoral vote in 2016. Trump was Vladimir Putin’s puppet and still is; Putin cited Trump’s refusal to accept his 2020 election loss as proof that democracy is a failed system.

Trump didn’t “Make America Great”; he undermined our greatness. He took credit for a booming economy inherited from President Obama, then he ran it into the ground, due in part to his atrocious pandemic response that has left nearly 736,000 Americans dead. Trump embarrassed us in front of our allies and sucked up to dictators. He tried to turn our nation into a fascist dictatorship. With the help of spineless Republicans, he nearly succeeded. Not a single Republican showed the courage, integrity or patriotism to stand up to Trump when he was twice impeached. They continue to cower before this traitor.

There have been six Republican presidents in my lifetime: Nixon (Watergate); Ford (pardoned Nixon); Reagan (Iran-Contra, catastrophic tax cuts for the rich); Bush 1 (economic meltdown that cost him his presidency); Bush 2 (lied to start the Iraq War); and Trump. All dishonored the office and needed Democrats to clean up their messes. They were the ones who led us down the Road to…
