Global Stocks Mixed, U.S. Markets Closed


Stocks around the world were mixed in the wake of strong labor market data from the U.S. and signals that central bank officials see inflationary pressures as potentially more persistent as the economic recovery picks up. 

Futures tied to the S&P 500 climbed 0.4%, pointing to an extension of the broad-market index’s recent gains when markets reopen after the Thanksgiving holiday. It closed up 0.2% Wednesday. Nasdaq-100 futures added 0.3%, pointing to a rise in technology stocks.
