Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Paris, the fell 4.75% to hit a new 1-month low, while the index lost 4.54%.

The best performers of the session on the were Eurofins Scientific SE (PA:), which rose 7.89% or 8.32 points to trade at 113.72 at the close. Meanwhile, Teleperformance SE (PA:) added 0.68% or 2.40 points to end at 357.00 and Dassault Systemes SE (PA:) was down 0.41% or 0.22 points to 52.89 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:), which fell 11.88% or 7.88 points to trade at 58.46 at the close. Airbus Group SE (PA:) declined 11.49% or 12.90 points to end at 99.36 and Safran SA (PA:) was down 10.26% or 11.56 points to 101.10.

The top performers on the SBF 120 were Valneva (PA:) which rose 8.97% to 26.000, Eurofins Scientific SE (PA:) which was up 7.89% to settle at 113.72 and Sartorius Stedim Biotech SA (PA:) which gained 7.17% to close at 515.40.

The worst performers were WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:) which was down 11.88% to 58.46 in late trade, Airbus Group SE (PA:) which lost 11.49% to settle at 99.36 and Eramet SA (PA:) which was down 11.26% to 68.20 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 545 to 92 and 65 ended unchanged.

Shares in Safran SA (PA:) fell to 52-week lows; down 10.26% or 11.56 to 101.10. Shares in Valneva (PA:) rose to all time highs; up 8.97% or 2.140 to 26.000.

The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0% to 18.96 a new 6-months high.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.01% or 0.10 to $1784.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 12.69% or 9.95 to hit $68.44 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 10.95% or 9.00 to trade at $73.22 a barrel.

EUR/USD was up 0.85% to 1.1301, while EUR/GBP rose 0.88% to 0.8484.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.75% at 96.150.
