Budweiser’s NFT Debut Sells Out Within One Hour

After making its first NFT purchase back in August, one of the biggest names global names in beer, Budweiser, has announced the launch of its very own NFT collection as it gets ready to deep dive into the world of cryptos. Budweiser had previously purchased a Bud-themed digital collectible from Tony Sachs’ Rocket Factory Collection for $25,000 and featured it on its official Twitter account.

The Budverse Cans Heritage Collection will be the company’s very first range of NFTs, consisting of 1,936 collectables in honour of the year it first launched the beer in cans. Each NFT in the collection will include classic photos, ads and design documents, giving users a glimpse into the making of the iconic brand.

Every single NFT will also offer exclusive benefits, rewards and surprises to their holders. The two variants called Core Cans and Gold Cans were initially sold at  $499 and $999 respectively on the Ethereum network via the leading  NFT marketplace OpenSea.

What makes Budweiser’s NFTs even more exciting is the news that the company minted its own collection before making them available for distribution for buyers, offsetting the high transaction fees on the leading blockchain network. Do note, however, that this platform is available only for users based in the US.

The collections sold out within one hour of its launch, making Budweiser’s debut in the NFT space a stellar launch. Given that it called the collection the Budverse, we can expect more offerings in the space from the brand, especially in the popular world of metaverse soon.
