British TV Star Becomes First Stylist to Enter the Metaverse and Style Virtual Avatars

Up to now, you could buy digital luxury clothing from Gucci, Prada (OTC:), and Balenciaga and show it off in the metaverse. That’s all well and good, but what if you never truly learned how to style clothes? Well, now you can request this service from British stylist Gemma Sheppard, who will help choose the best outfits for your avatar to wear in the metaverse.

The icon of British TV’s Channel 5 reality show ’10 Years Younger in 10 Days’ will offer virtual styling services and help create unique, dynamic wardrobes for avatars in the metaverse. Sheppard will work in collaboration with the metaverse startup investment firm ‘Metaventures‘ and metaverse platform ‘Roblox‘ to offer styling tips for user avatars.

Roblox is a virtual world in which users can design games, play, socialize with others, and experience life in 3D. The metaverse has around 43.2 million daily, active users.

Sheppard has been in fashion for over 20 years and recently became interested in styling users in the digital space. Together with Metaventures, she is hosting the first Metaverse Fashion Week which will exhibit top brands and fashion personalities in Spring 2022 to inspire a new generation of fashion devotees.

“Trust me, metaverse fashion is a digital trend that is going to grow and grow. Endless designers have already dipped their toes into selling product virtually and at this year’s Met Gala, usual party pictures were ditched in favour of turning celebrity guests into 3D avatars,”
Sheppard said.

“Roblox has been ahead of the game for years as a place to design virtual fashion so as the first fashion stylist to work in the metaverse I’m ready for my avatar to take that to another level by helping people explore fashion in a 3D world where creativity is limitless. It feels amazing to be part of something so inclusive and environmentally friendly. Everyone is becoming more mindful about reducing clothing consumption and in the metaverse there’s zero waste – just maximum innovation and self-expression,”
she added.
